PHAB Update – CSNA To Meet With Department of Health

PHAB Update – CSNA To Meet With Department of Health

November 15th, 2017

After intensive lobbying from the CSNA and retailers we are delighted to announce that CSNA have been invited to an engagement with the Department of Health on Section 22 (formerly section 20) of the Public Health (Alcohol) Bill 2015 on “structural separation” of alcohol products in mixed retail outlets this Friday 17th November 2017.

The purposes of the engagement are:

  • to allow Department of Health officials to provide clarity on the options available to meet the requirements of Section 22;
  • to hear our views on the provision and, in particular, the issues raised by members in relation to the requirements under Section 22; and
  • to hear alternative solutions in relation to the foregoing.

The CSNA will be represented at this meeting by Claire-Ann Martyn, National President CSNA and Vincent Jennings, CEO CSNA.

Please contact the CSNA with your views on the above purposes of this engagement.

CSNA will continue to work tirelessly to represent our members on this matter.
