These amendments, designed to reduce or eliminate the additional costs that the original Bill had contained were the process of a huge amount of consideration by the CSNA National Executive. CSNA had submitted very detailed proposals to both the Department and the Minister to forward the case on behalf of our members.
CSNA members owe a collective debt to those Senators with whom we liaised to ensure that our reasonable proposals were adopted. We must also pay tribute to the work of Padraig White and the RRAI secretariat who had the unenviable task of putting our proposals into Parliamentary format and threshing out the finer points. We will be providing in more detail the actual workings and new wording of the Section as it affects. A HUGE thanks to all members that campaigned in this vital matter.
