Members will be aware that the Association has held the view for a considerable period that retailers of tobacco products should be permitted to sell at any price at or above the manufacturer RRP.
We are also of the view that tobacco that is either Duty Free and duty -paid in another Member State should be subjected to very strict personal limits.
Finally, we do not consider that the growth of Big Box ranges are in our, Revenue or societies best interest and have called on the State to consider either banning ( as done in New Zealand) Big Boxes or removing their price attractiveness by insisting on a pro-rata pricing to packs of 20.
