Members will be aware that CSNA have advised all retailers of LEAP cards through Payzone not to commit to any new contract with An Post/Post Point until certain matters are discussed, agreed and resolved.
We noted that the CEO of the NTA , Anne Graham and a number of Dublin Bus executives were due to appear before the Joint Oireachtas Transport Committee this week so we asked Chairman of the Committee, Kieran O’Donnell TD to seek additional information from Ms Graham on the status of the LEAP card contract, given the significant amount of public money that was expended on its development and the possible improper use by An Post of the portrayal as “exclusive” suppliers of the card from Jan 1 ( they aren’t).
Ms. Graham acknowledged to the Committee that CSNA had previously raised the matter and that she would ensure that the Chair and ourselves would receive an update to their investigation into our complaint.
