Members are familiar with the principle of magazines from the UK that are priced in £sterling having a €euro RRP applied to them by the distributor each quarter.
This “Ready Reckoner (RR)” is a combination of foreign exchange, carriage and Value Added Tax (where relevant) and allows retailers the opportunity to be invoiced on a consistent basis over the 13-week cycle.
Quarter Two – April 3rd – July 3rd will see the suggested Euro retail price increasing by 0.7% over Jan – Mar Q1 RR. This means a £5 magazine with a 9% VAT rating that previously was priced at €7.26 will now have a €7.31 price.
