Under section 24 of the Valuation Act, 2001 as amended, Valuation Certificates were issued to occupiers of relevant rateable properties in the rating authority areas of Cavan, Fingal, Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Tipperary, Wexford and Wicklow County Councils on the 10th September 2019.
A ratepayer who is dissatisfied with their valuation may make an appeal to the independent Valuations Tribunal as detailed in the explanatory letter issued with their Valuations Certificate. Appeals to the Tribunal must be made no later than 14th October 2019.
New Valuation Lists for all revalued counties will be published on 17th September and from that date the new valuations will be available to view on valoff.ie and will also be available for inspection in the Valuation Office, Block 2 Irish Life Centre, Abbey Street Lower, Dublin 1.
It is intended to hold walk-in clinics in each Local Authority area following the publication of the new Valuations Lists. Staff will be available to answer queries relating to the issue of Valuation Certificates. No appointment will be necessary. Ratepayers are asked to bring their Certificate along with them.
