We have received reports from members in the Dublin area that there are people visiting stores looking to change €100/€200 notes. When the cashier is changing the note, they try to confuse the cashier to get extra money for example they start looking for €5, €10 and €20 notes while hiding some notes and then saying that they were left short in their change. It is also believed that the €100/€200 notes are forgeries.
Please tell your staff to be extra vigilant for this scam!
