SCAM – Prepaid Vouchers And Cards

Payzone and their partners will never phone a retailer and ask you to print a voucher. Do not print or communicate voucher numbers to any individual on the phone. If you receive a call asking you to do this, please notify Payzone Customer Care Team on 1890 882 600.

We strongly recommend that you only accept cash for prepaid vouchers and cards. You should always collect the cash before the transaction has been completed. You should not accept any swipe and sign credit cards for these transactions.

When accepting cards that have been swiped or signed for any goods you should check the following:

1. The signature on the terminal receipt matches the signature on the card
2. The card number that prints on the receipt matches the number on the card
3. The last 4 digits on the terminal receipt matches the number on the card
4. Check the plastic card for any sign of counterfeit manufacture
