The Living Wage

If this Government gets its way, the minimum hourly rate that every adult (20 + years of age) worker will be paid from 2027 will be in the region of €14.11 (assuming growth of 3% of the median wage).

This would be achieved by annual increases of 72c per hour onto the current National Minimum Wage (NMW) between now and 2027.

The LPC (Low Pay Commission has stated that if their recommendation (of 60% of the median hourly wage) is accepted and implemented, the living wage would be calculated as outlined.
